Currently, most laboratories use standard microplates, making multi-channel pipettes the perfect tool for improving efficiency and repeatability. Compared to single channel pipettes, using 8, 12, or 16 channel pipettes significantly reduces the number of pipettes used. This efficiency gain is more significant when using multi-channel electric pipettes for repeated distribution, allowing for multiple precise volume distributions of the same or different in one pipetting cycle.


Multi channel pipettes have been on the market for a long time, but they are often complex and difficult to use. Misalignment, leakage, or worst-case scenario - detachment of the gun head can be a significant obstacle in the use of multi-channel pipettes, resulting in waste of reagents or rework of the entire experiment. These issues stem from the widely used but imperfect design of the pipette nozzle and nozzle adapter, which require excessive force to install the nozzle on all channels. To ensure a secure connection, it is usually necessary to tighten each gun head by hand, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of contamination. In addition, sticking the gun head onto the gun head adapter may cause difficulties in ejecting the gun head after use.
